Our next Photo Café talk with Seeing Collective is coming up on Friday, May 24th (7pm – 9pm) at BKC on the topic of Fairness and Visibility. How can we encourage diversity and create equality within the photography industry? What are some ways to give underrepresented people a platform to share their stories and voice? These are just a couple questions that come to mind when thinking about fairness and visibility across the industry and we hope to broach this topic in our next discussion.

Introducing PHOTO CAFE: a conversation series on photography and what it takes to succeed in the industry today. Presented in collaboration with Seeing Collective (SeeC). This month we discuss the ins and outs of sustaining a long career in photography.
BKC and Seeing Collective are teaming up to offer these new member-run critiques… Although we are encouraging all kinds photographic work, there's no limitation on genre, medium or format, and all critique is rooted in sincere appreciation for the artist and the work being created. Each Crit is 2 hours, and the up to 4 participants per evening will have the opportunity submit their works-in-progress for group feedback.
Third Sunday of every month, we’ll be holding our Sunday Critiques in collaboration with Seeing Collective! We’ll discuss your work and provide feedback alongside members of our community. Only 4 critique slots available each month so sign up soon!
